IOTA wallet seed generator compromised? #509

Hi, I've sent some IOTA to my wallet and followed all steps for the setup from "https://iota-help.com/how-to-generate-iota-seed/''. Stored my seed offline instantly.

Had some IOTA sent from Bitfinex and Coinspot, waited as transactions were pending for 2-3days. First deposit was finally received so did not continuously check for the 2nd transaction to arrive.

Opened up my wallet today and have found that the iota has been sent to another address and has been confirmed? I find it hard to understand how when i follow the "iota guide'' to install the wallet and generate a seed through the page they recommend and then for this to happen?

Please someone help and let me know where to go from here?

Thanks

iota

How do you generate your own seed?

It is so sad that people trust Websites that contains the name IOTA on its domain. https://www.reddit.com/r/Iota/comments/7cowkl/psa_just_that_all_are_aware_iotahelpcom_is_a_scam/?st=jai0upe7&sh=74d43028

Also never never never use an online seed generator, even in a offline seed generator you should modify the characters before. for Instance: 9aaa9dddd9ffff... to 9abc9dcdcd9fafafa...

Do not install any wallet in a Windows Operating System! Buy a Hardware Wallet or use Linux installing only official packages. If you have lot of money invested check the checksum of the Wallet too.

Cryptos are still only for People that have IT know how.
