Should i be worried about losing my balance? #597

I'm hearing people lost their balance which in their wallet already? Should i be worried? Are there any steps that we can take to prevent this to happen to us?

I'm withdrawing all my balance to exchange for now.

The way I understand it is this, Generate a receive address Attach it to tangle Go to your exchange and transfer the IOTA to your generated receive address. Your balance will show up. Here is where it gets weird, EXIT the wallet Open the wallet This forces the address index to increment go to the receive tab and hit generate address hit attach to tangle NOW you can send, after you send EXIT the wallet Open the wallet generate a new address attach to tangle Now you can send again. Repeat the process to keep sending.

If you send before generating a new address and attaching it to tangle you likely will loose your tokens.

@jstillings1 thanks man. They also says generate new address before each "receive" process. And i dont understand why these are necessary but these steps are easy to follow and we can do for prevent losing our tokens. BUT what worries me that one day i see balance 0 on my wallet without extra info. I'm not talking about hacking etc of course.

Found advise from Korneto02 and it worked for me and lots of others who could not log in. I was so stressed out and now feel like a million $$$. Try this and post if it works for you. I think it likely will. hey guys it worked for me go to these site https://iotasalad.org/nodes.... use the nodes there and try all of those, go custom the host and change curl implementation to ccurl...it takes a while like 20-30 minutes says logging in, you just have to wait
