Iota Wallet.... REFUSED CONNECTION #628

Open LITTLEDINKY01 opened 6 years ago

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

I'm trying to figure out what the heck happened here and if anyone else is experiencing this issue. My wallet was fine until I transferred my Iota from Binance to my wallet... The transfer showed in my wallet as pending... I came back later and that's when I could no longer log in. Seed is correct, tried several different nodes... Clueless...

refused

martinsirbe commented 6 years ago

having exactly the same issue

cmd2kx commented 6 years ago

I am experiencing the same problem. Cannot access two wallets of mine, both have transactions pending confirmation. If I generate a new seed, I have no issue logging in.

chriscohoat commented 6 years ago

I'm having the same issue (pending Binance withdrawal, can't login with my seed that's always worked)...I've tried the low ping nodes here and it doesn't help: http://iota.dance/nodes

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

Ok.... So we are apparently all in the same boat... I too tried a random seed and connected easily... I hope it's just a glitch... If so, no worries... Hate to think I just lost 10 grand! If I manage to log in I'll post up...

Nauticalnomad commented 6 years ago

I got this as well on 1 attempt.. I also had issues waiting forever for the seed to load and i just kept giving up..

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

Still nothing... Starting to think this wallet is sh*t...

Nauticalnomad commented 6 years ago

There is only the one wallet isnt there?

korneto02 commented 6 years ago

same issue with me

YeboFX commented 6 years ago

The IOTA wallet is fcking joke. My transfer is pending 2 days and i made 10+ reattaching and rebroadcasting. When i get my transactions confirmed I will leave this shit. It doesnt matter what is the current price of IOTA - unless your money are not safe.

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

Man I feel ya... This stuff is stress I DON'T need... I own a small business... I got enough stress!

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

Anyone break thru this issue yet???

YeboFX commented 6 years ago

i think nodes are overload because everyone is buying (price is going up so fast) and sending to their wallets from exchange sites - thats only reasonable explanation. Otherwise, that wallet sucks! Look at cardano wallet daedalus or lisk wallet - what a piece of fast beauty.

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

I get it... I really need to access my wallet to do anything... Binance is freakin killin me... Two days on a withdraw... Between the two, I need a few drinks!

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

Well, it's not looking good... I think I may have been had at some point by something... I get NO response from Binance on the situation regarding my pending IOTA withdraw... Matter of fact, it's not even showing up in the pending/history anymore as it has completely disappeared from their history... Still unable to log into my IOTA wallet... Man I am pissed now... Should have bought pork bellies!!!

chriscohoat commented 6 years ago

I would just try to remain optimistic @LITTLEDINKY01 ... their site is overloaded with traffic so the pending/history requests aren't going through. All of us checking so often surely doesn't help :)

No idea why the wallet hangs for some seeds and not others, but I'm just assuming it's because of the crazy amount of IOTA being deposited/withdrawn from Binance.

bberish commented 6 years ago

Guys, I'm having the same issue.

I attempted to withdraw from Binance yesterday, I was able to login to my wallet yesterday before the transfer.

This morning and today, I have been receiving "connection refused" message for whichever node I choose.

I am hoping it is due to the Binance withdrawal, which I think is still processing....

On Slack, someone told me there will be a wallet update later this week, which should solve the problem.

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

Ok... So I decided to take some of my own advise and breath............... I always prepare for the worse case scenario... Just would like a bit of confirmation as to what is actually goin on with all this... We shall see...

YETRO78 commented 6 years ago

But what happen, same issue with me I attempted to withdraw from Binance yesterday, and now no more can't open my wallet

psturc commented 6 years ago

Trying http://node01.iotatoken.nl:14265 node worked for me in the end. https://github.com/iotaledger/wallet/issues/634#issuecomment-349580666

karapandzab commented 6 years ago

Anyone knows if Ledger Nano S will support IOTA?

bberish commented 6 years ago

Okay guys, so my Binance withdrawal finally went thru... however I still receive a "Connection Refused" error.

Acatorn commented 6 years ago

Same here, Binance withdrawal went thru, but I still receive "Connection Refused" from every node.

korneto02 commented 6 years ago

hey guys it worked for me go to these site https://iotasalad.org/nodes.... use the nodes there and try all of those, go custom the host and change curl implementation to ccurl...it takes a while like 20-30 minutes says logging in, you just have to wait

YeboFX commented 6 years ago

try an active host with most neighbours - worked for me within 15 minutes after 3 days pending and reattaching.

martinsirbe commented 6 years ago

come on guys, keep on buying IOTA image

Acatorn commented 6 years ago

God bless you korneto02 :D You and the man who created those salad nodes:D Finally, after two days of fights I managed two login using https://potato.iotasalad.org:14265 and ccurl. It needed two attempts but after 10 minutes I'm in:D

PS. IOTA is great invention but needs some polish. It seems like there is lack of public full nodes...

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

Tryin these nodes now... will post up if successful...

Acatorn commented 6 years ago

It may be hard to login again because spam attack strikes back (huge number of 0 value transactions). You can check it here: http://iota.dance/tangle. Blue line on "Transactions per minute".

LITTLEDINKY01 commented 6 years ago

Well well well.... I was FINALLY able to log into my light wallet, problem, half my IOTA has gone missing??????? Man I'm really not diggin this... Any ideas?

JDSlimz commented 6 years ago

@LITTLEDINKY01 It looks like the potato node is just not synced up to the latest milestone. If you give the node some time to sync or be updated all of your iota should show up. In the mean time, to verify that your funds exist for peace of mind you can use https://iotasear.ch/ just put in the address that you sent the iota to (NOT YOUR SEED) and search.

bberish commented 6 years ago

Anyone have success logging in on an updated node?

JDSlimz commented 6 years ago

@bberish I was able to login with my problem seed on a node suggested previously https://potato.iotasalad.org:14265 it took 20-30 minutes to log in, but it did. I was also able to transact (though with the network speed right now they are still pending).

bberish commented 6 years ago

@JDSlimz HOLY MOLY... It Worked!!!

Despite the 30+ minutes it took to login, it was so satisfying to see it work.

THANK YOU!

But still, can't wait for the new wallet...

JDSlimz commented 6 years ago

@bberish You are very welcome! Glad I could help!

I can't wait either!

ScotchWiskey commented 6 years ago

Korneto02 You ROCK DUDE! I wish I could buy you a beer! I was freaking out thinking I lost a lot of money. I followed your advise and it worked ! I am so grateful to you !

hey guys it worked for me go to these site https://iotasalad.org/nodes.... use the nodes there and try all of those, go custom the host and change curl implementation to ccurl...it takes a while like 20-30 minutes says logging in, you just have to wait

oksygen commented 6 years ago

Did you get all your IOTA LITTLEDINKY01? I have used one of the hosts from the Salad list and it appears to be working correctly now. But I still haven't moved any coins in yet, I'm hoping for a little more confirmation those hosts/nodes are good? Cheers 👍

kons233 commented 6 years ago

dude i just logged in to the potato salad website, georgia peanut node, and its someone elses balance and history of transactions!? anyone else have a similar experience?

kons233 commented 6 years ago

if use the nl nodes provided in default hosts it shows my own balance and i recognize my history, logging into the potato salad node was a weird experience

oksygen commented 6 years ago

Actually, you're right, I just had a look in history & there is someone else's in there, because I have no transactions my self. I was suspicious of these hosts before. What do you know today about this node situation Kons233? Cheers.

sipetpet commented 6 years ago

Hi i am new to this discussion. I use an android iota wallet that i used to be able to open. now for the last few days, i have been getting network error, unable to connect I tried changing the nodes using from iotasalad but cannot understand the ccurl part. I could not find this option. I can see my coins using http://iota.dance/tangle but the wallet is impossible. anyway to retrieve my coins using only my address where the coins are store. Help!!

sipetpet commented 6 years ago

I used these settings on my wallet

Node protocol https Node ip potato.iotasalad.org Node port 14265

What else do I need?
