regression tests fail on Ubuntu with 4.4 and 4.9-rc kernels #783

Hi there,

While sanity checking the 4.9-rc kernel against bcc I hit a load of regression failures with the bcc "make test" regression tests. Are these expected? I re-ran them with an older 4.8 (Yakkety) and 4.4 (Xenial) Ubuntu kernels and get different results. Are these test failures expected? bcc-test-logs.zip

neither of kernels should have any failures. The tests require ruby and other things to be available on the host. Pls start with sudo ../build/tests/cc/test_libbcc and see what it says. Likely ruby is missing. Our jenkins boxes are failure free. cc @dark @drzaeus77 for details on how to set them up properly.
