Start an attempt to list socio-technical options for package manager designers. #89

Hi, it's me again :grinning:

As part of my research on package managers, I have tried to expand on the categories from the docs/categories.md file. I initially wanted to propose this as an update to this file, but I am afraid that this would be too disruptive as the main categories that are listed in this file are the most important ones on which the rest of the IPFS work is relying. So instead, I have created a new file docs/options-for-package-manager-designers.md.

I am also not fully sure whether this contribution is welcome in this repo, or if it is stretching too far away from the main points of interest to the IPFS work (with which some options listed here have no relation).

If this is welcome, you may notice that this document is not fully finished. What I would do would be:

  1. Complete the "options for manifest files", "options for package indexes", and "options for package managers (clients)" sections.
  2. Ask for feedback from package manager designers / experts. That would include the people watching this repository, but I was also thinking of advertising this on the package.community Discord channel.
  3. Incorporate feedback and when it stabilizes mark this PR as ready to merge.

Hi @andrew, have you seen this PR? Note that I would totally understand if this contribution is too much out-of-scope for this repository, and you just close it. I'd also understand if you just need more time to review it or take a decision.

@Zimmi48 I'm taking some time off, hence the delay, but perhaps @meiqimichelle would be up for reviewing as this looks like a worthwhile contribution
