Agenda:

Discuss the state of IPNS in JS which is required for the IPID DID method
Discuss possible solutions for the "identity is permanently compromised if the IPNS key is compromised", see this thread

Thanks all for participating. Video was added to the notes for people to watch.

Main takeaways:

First DID method will be IPID
Multi-writter IPNS scenario will be solved by having a CRDT on top, using either orbitdb or peer-base. I’m going to research a bit about this and make a proposal.
Regarding the issue about the IPNS key being compromised, we will go for “Solution 1”. Later on, we might explore other solutions because the IPID spec can evolve and have versioning as well.

I would like to get @aschmahmann's input on multi-writer IPNS also, as I know he's been doing some work in this area and may be able to speak to another solution. An alternative may be to rely on single writer IPNS and set the user's expectations through the UI.

Thanks @dirkmc @satazor @pgte I'm out of the office until Monday, but I've taken a brief look at the notes and I'll take a look at the video either this weekend or first thing on Monday and provide some feedback.
