The well-known wget tool in Linux could use the same behavior as cURL.

The next version being developed here.

There's also ipget https://github.com/ipfs/ipget It's specifically created for IPFS. One big downside - to me - is that it internally spins up a full blown node.

But yeah, having IPFS support in wget would be sweet!
