Description

Hello folks.

I just installed ipfs.exe via the release-page here. Initially I had created a %APPDATA%\.ipfs\gateway file to be used in curl. Ref: https://github.com/curl/curl/blob/master/docs/IPFS.md#gateway-file-and-environment-variable

But to my disappointment this file got deleted by a ipfs.exe init command (or another command?). And doing a ipfs.exe init a second time it says:

initializing IPFS node at c:\Users\gvane\AppData\Roaming\.ipfs
Error: ipfs configuration file already exists!
Reinitializing would overwrite your keys

This does not delete any files or create new files AFAICS. But is deleting foreign file(s) okay? So IMHO it would be better to check if a %APPDATA%\.ipfs directory already exist.

.ipfs\gateway is created by Kubo when you start ipfs daemon :-)

IPFS is truly confusing, but I started just now today. But now I have the daemon +WebUI running and a curl.exe ipfs://baguqeerasords4njcts6vs7qvdjfcvgnume4hqohf65zsfguprqphs3icwea prints {"hello":"world"}.

So I ass-u-me it's working.
