I just installed Release 1.5.3 on my windows 10 machine.

Home-Assistant-Desktop-v1.5.3-win-x64.exe and then Home-Assistant-Desktop-v1.5.3-win.exe

both have the same issue: After starting, i have 4 processes (close to 0% CPU) running and a small tray symbol.

clicking on the tray icon, 1 process takes 12% of my CPU and nothing more happens.

Closing all processes and restarting has the same result.

Same problem, just freezes. Win10 x64

Same here, I see the icon in the taskbar but its completely unresponsive. I get the menu once after opening and then never again until force close.

This is a shame.

Just use Hass.agent. Better in every discipline, free of bugs.

check this post, might be a scaling issue : https://github.com/iprodanovbg/homeassistant-desktop/issues/1

check this post, might be a scaling issue : #1

Thanks, but I don't think it is. This looks much more like a bug.

I just reinstalled today to give it another shot, latest version. Right after installing, I launch the app for the first time and it open two instances of the tray icon.

After that, same behavior and the left click menu stops working.

Icon in the taskbar was unresponsive for me too until I followed the instructions and removed scaling using the instructions laid out by that user. Might not solve it for you, but i was surprised when it fixed it for me because I was sure it wasn't a scaling issue too. Might work
