Altruism in Tech

Promoting diversity and inclusion in tech by connecting newcomers with tech professionals.

The aim is to connect newcomers with a tech professional with experience and expertise in some area of tech. With this project we are trying to help and guide people in tech who have lost their way, or find it difficult to start in the first place. The goal is to design a website where interested tech professionals can volunteer by making themselves available for a one-on-one meeting, with a newcomer seeking help in their area of expertise. The Altrusim in Tech website would:

have a database of the mentors who register themselves for helping others.
give the newcomers an opportunity to search and request to connect with a mentor based on their common area of interest.
set up a meet between a mutually accepting pair of mentor-mentee.
