Can the PII issue #12 fit with this one?
We have an existing CV for the purpose of content warnings: https://cv.iptc.org/newscodes/contentwarning/ maybe we should review the list?
Derek looked up the terms that they have in his system at Getty:
Another term that has been suggested is "Traumatic" or "Disturbing" content.
We found the MDDF list of national/territory ratings systems: https://www.movielabs.com/md/ratings/v2.4.8/html/Summary.html
It looks like we need a field to store one or more national/territory ratings, used for compliance, and separately to track warnings based on the content itself.
For territory ratings, we have #21, so let's focus on content warnings.
For the field, how about the following:
Property Group | Property Name | Definition / Semantics | User Notes | Change Notes | Basic Type/Cardinality | EBUcore Property | XMP Property |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
administrative | Content Warning | Information to warn potential viewers about nudity, violence etc in the video | Recommended CV: https://cv.iptc.org/newscodes/contentwarning/ | New 1.4 | CV Term structure (0..unbounded) | n/a | Iptc4xmpExt:ContentWarning |
For the CV, here's what we have in our CV vs other systems:
IPTC contentwarning CV | Getty | BBC [source] |
---|---|---|
Death | Death | Violence |
Language | Profanity | Language |
Nudity | Nudity | Sex/Nudity |
Sexuality | Suggestive Content | Sex/Nudity |
Suffering | Graphic Content | Upsetting or disturbing content |
Violence | Graphic Content | Violence |
Adult Humour / Adult Themes | ||
Drugs / Imitation / Medical scenes | ||
RFI - Flashing Images |
So perhaps we should add drugs and flashing images. Do we need "adult humour"?
Resolved with the release of VMHub v1.4
