The emacs layout is very convenient in terms of code navigation, but abbreviations for working with text are not very convenient. The original program has cua-mode, which changes the copy, cut, paste combinations of all the usual CTRL-C, X, V. More details in emacswiki. It would be very convenient if you could choose this as an option.
