nbextensions tab is empty #1523

Hi, I've installed jupyter-notebook throug pip3 command:

pip3 install jupyter-notebook

Then i've installed nbextensions following documentation:

pip3 install jupyter_nbextensions_configurator

But when I try to run and enable widgets, it gives me this output:

jupyter nbextensions_configurator enable --user

OUTPUT:

Enabling: jupyter_nbextensions_configurator
- Writing config: /home/daniziz/.jupyter
    - Validating...
      jupyter_nbextensions_configurator 0.4.1 OK
Enabling notebook nbextension nbextensions_configurator/config_menu/main...
Enabling tree nbextension nbextensions_configurator/tree_tab/main...

And when I go to nbextensions tab, it shows it empty:

Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS Python 3.8.2

I'm having the same problem, when installing through pip. Wondering weather a rollback to previous versions might be wise at this point.

jupyter-client 6.1.7 jupyter-contrib-core 0.3.3 jupyter-contrib-nbextensions 0.5.0 jupyter-core 4.6.3 jupyter-highlight-selected-word 0.2.0 jupyter-latex-envs 1.4.6 jupyter-nbextensions-configurator 0.4.1 jupyterlab-pygments 0.1.1
