The binary xgterm
is in the subdir xgterm
. You should either call it with the complete path (i.e. ./xgterm/xgterm
if you are in the x11iraf subdir), or put it somewhere into your PATH
, for example to /usr/local/bin/
.
However, as I wrote in #44, I would not recommend to start with IRAF at all but instead check out Astropy, which may be the better solution.
HI, I installed for the first time X11iraf on linux mint. I am not a system manager. Apparently everything was well following your instructions. However when I tried to execute xgterm I got an error:
andres@andres-MS-7978:~/x11iraf-2.1$ xgterm
Command 'xgterm' not found, did you mean:
command 'xterm' from deb xterm (353-1ubuntu1.20.04.2)
Try: sudo apt install
