You can now opt-in to push notifications for any lots you watch that are part of in-person auctions.
The idea is that you can watch some items on your computer before the auction starts, then enable push notifications on your phone, and it'll vibrate any time an item you want goes up for bidding.
The notifications are triggered when an admin enters the lot number on the set lot winners page.
There is a setting in the auction rules to disable this feature.
You have to enable notifications separately for each device you want to see notifications on. Opting into notifications on your computer won't show you notifications on your phone; you have to enable them there. The enable notifications button will show up in preferences and on the page for any lots you've watched.
If you're the one setting lot winners, you won't get any notification (this really mostly impacts testing). This is to keep notifications from coming up on the projector during an auction, while you're setting lot winners.
