Type problem. Specimen is called Baccaurea bakeri. Elmer. Number 15580. Date on specimen is 1916.

Tropicos website states that B. bakeri was published in: An Enumeration of Philippine Flowering Plants 2: 412. 1923. (edited by Elmer D. Merrill) http://www.tropicos.org/Name/50241352

However, that journal lists B. bakeri (15580 collected by A.D. Elmer) as Baccaurea tetrandra. No description of B. bakeri is provided. https://quod.lib.umich.edu/p/philamer/ACW7735.0018.002/422?rgn=full+text;view=image

The Plant List (Kew) website has B. bakeri as an accepted name and refers to the same publication. http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl/record/kew-18579

IPNI website shows the following: Euphorbiaceae Baccaurea bakeri Elmer ex Merr. -- Enum. Philipp. Fl. Pl. ii. 412 (1923), in obs., pro syn. (IK) http://www.ipni.org/ipni/simplePlantNameSearch.do?find_wholeName=baccaurea+bakeri&output_format=normal&query_type=by_query&back_page=query_ipni.html

Zürich Herbaria has an image of a specimen similar to ours (15580) but collected in 1915 and has called it a paratype. http://www.herbarien.uzh.ch/static/database/details_en.php?&spBarCod=Z-000015898
