We don't currently actively remove messages from your buffer if you're over the limit. We have a system in place that WOULD do this, but it doesn't currently. In the future, you'll receive multiple email warnings before we ever do this.
@indirect Are you on the old system or the new system? (Have you "upgraded" your account yet in the past week?)
old system, I guess. I'll try upgrading it!

okay, now upgraded. I guess my plan still only allows one device per network, and I'm using that account on two different laptops just fine—but now I don't get any backlog/buffer in my channels, even when both machines have been disconnected. Have I inadvertently disabled it somehow? :\
@indirect The web UI now shows you how many items you have buffered. You can test that it is buffering properly by disconnecting, logging in as a different user to IRC, and sending yourself messages. :)
I keep losing buffered messages from channels that I am not logged in to. This didn't happen with my self-hosted ZNC, and I do have a paid plan... how can I tell if I'm losing messages because of the plan limit?
