Exported kml files to Google Drive do not display track in Google Earth #1431

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Enable synchronize tracks to Google Drive
2.Use Google Drive app to select a kml file exoported from My Tracks
3.Google Earth automatically starts
3.Google Earth zooms to area where track was recorded but does not show the
track

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the Google Earth map with the track layed over it

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone?
Latest version of Google Tracks from Play store

Some tracks tracks recorded on and synchronized from Galaxy Nexus running
latest Android 4.2 for the Galaxy Nexus.

Some track recorded on and synchronized from Samsung Note 3 running latest
Samsung version of android 4.3

Behaviour is the same for tracks regardless of the phone they originated on.

Attempting to display on Nexus 10 running 4.4.2

I'm seeing the same issue version 7.1.3.1255. I just downloaded Google Earth
today. I have a Motorola bionic

In Google Earth, when opening the file, it might not zoom in at the track. A
workaround is clicking on the track under the "Temporary Places" in Google
Earth.

We have informed the Google Earth team of this issue.

Recall this is the android version. I don't have any setting for "temporary
places"

I'd upload logs but your suggested method isn't compatable with the bionic.
