Bad GPS and time readings #1452

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Turn on MyTracks recording
2. Start running.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to get an announcement every 5 minutes. I get one at 2 minutes. I
expect it to follow my path relatively closely it is vastly different. I know I
don't run at 25 mph.

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone? Version 2.0.6 of mytracks, Nexus 5 running 4.4.2 Android

If possible please provide a log by uploading here.
Detailed instructions can be found here:

http://code.google.com/p/mytracks/wiki/HowToReportErrors

Please provide any additional information here:

It used to work much better (look at earlier tracks). I don't understand why it
suddenly got worse.

One additional issue is the clock seems to be off. I don't understand why about
5 min into the run, AS SHOWN ON THE PHONE, it is reporting I've been running
for 2 min.

Hi, I live in Japan and I have same problem as this subscription and it seems
occurred after software update of 18th of January around. Charts before Jan
17th were OK.

asobu you called it. MyTracks on 1/16 were OK, and on 1/20 were all confused.

Gary, I saw yor mytracks record on Google earth and you run good place but
18.79km/h. I also add mytracks log as below. These two were my jog records and
I did not walk or stop, nor ride bike or something during my training.

Yeah, the recorded track is jumping all over the place. There is no accuracy
anymore. Nexus 4, stock.
