terrain map tiles duplicated #1470

With only displaying the map in Mytracks, adjacent map tiles do not line up.
Looks like there are actually duplicate tiles adjacent to each other making it
impossible to use the map. I also just went back to the old version of mobile
google maps to get terrain layers back and I do have the same issue within maps
as in Mytracks. This is a relatively new issue, at least a few months old, but
not as long as several years that I've been using tracks. I would expect to see
seamless tiles making one continuous map, rather than an unintelligible mosaic
with duplicates.

Maps 6.14.3 (did have same issue while running maps 7+ also), MyTracks 2.0.6,
Android 4.1.2, Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD

I have both my old and new phone in front of me…
The old: [LG optimus L5 E610]
The new: [(LG) Nexus 5]

All software updated as far as possible to this date (15. of March 2014),
and all settings synchronized between the two devices…

The terrain-map looks great and smooth on the old device,
but tilled & duplicated on the new device.

This same issue applies to the app “Runtastic Pro”…
so the map-data is probably drawn from the same place.

Can you include a screenshot?

My Tracks is using the Google map view. Sounds like the bug is in the map
server serving the map data. This is something we cannot fix in My Tracks.
