Regression after week of use - all data is incorrect #1504

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I don't know what caused this
2. However, if you unsync from drive and then resync it, every entry is doubled

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Things should work and this cannot happen.

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone?

My Tracks 2.0.6
Android 4.4.2
Galaxy S4 SGH I337

If possible please provide a log by uploading here.

Please provide any additional information here:

I am attaching 4 screenshots. More can be provided if necessary. The first 2
are what the settings page should look like, taken prior to this incident. They
are all I have of what happened before this issue. The 3rd shows how entries
have doubled up after resyncing it. The 4th shows how the data is all messed up
now. My fastest time is obviously wrong and was changed from a more realistic
speed. My Avg Pace is normal though. But the calories are wrong and so while
the path is correct on the map, the dynamic setting misrepresents my speed. And
so the chart is incorrect as well.

There are two issues here.

When you unsync from Google Drive, all the mapping between your tracks and your
Google Drive file ids are erased. So when you sync again, all your Google Drive
files are treated as new tracks for import. Thus you have double the number of
tracks. Before enabling sync again, rename your My Tracks folder in Google
Drive to something else or move the files in the My Tracks folder to something
else.

To clean up, you need to manually delete the duplicate tracks/files from either
Google Drive or My Tracks.

The second issue is that the stats are different after resync. This is a bug
and will get fixed in version 2.0.7.
