Do you have the system log?
Did you see the permission dialog from My Tracks asking if My Tracks can send
data to Google Maps Engine?

Sorry: No system log.
But to screenshots of the permission dialog and the error.

I assume you clicked "OK" on the permission dialog.
If it happens again, can you capture a bug report.
Phone Settings -> Developer options -> Take bug report
If you don't see "Developer options", click on
Phone Settings -> About phone -> Build number (click on this item 7 times)
Can you try accessing
https://mapsengine.google.com/map/
on a computer browser using the same google account?
Also, can you confirm if you are seeing the same error for all your the tracks
Thanks
Jimmy

Debug report I do not get to the run anyway.

The error occurs on all tracks.

Is obviously not an isolated case.
Can you create a system log on the S3, @mslijkh...?

Do you already have ideas for solutions to the problem? Because obviously
different users are affected with different smart phones, it does not seem so
to act was an isolated case.

Thanks everyone for reporting this. We fixed the problem on the Google Maps
Engine server and the server error rate has dropped. Please let us know if you
still encounter this.

If it is still failing, wondering if you can share the track by exporting it as
a kml file. We would like to be able to reproduce it.
Thanks

Exporting all tracks to Drive is not the same as exporting one track to google
maps engine (diffrent target!).
Testet now on my Nexus 7 (2012) with Android 4.4.4:
Same problem

We found another cause, this time due to a translation error. We aim to roll
out the server side fix within a week's time.
