ability to continue recording a stopped track

Please describe what your requested feature would do, how it would work,
etc:

I would like to be able to open up an existing track and start recording to it 
again.  The main problem I've had is that sometimes I'm out recording a track 
and I will accidentally bump the "stop" button, which then brings up the "save" 
window.  There is no way at this point to undo the "stop" and continue 
recording on the same track when you make a mistake like this.  I end up with 
multiple track files for what is really all just one track.  So I would like to 
be able to open an existing file and start recording to it again, rather than 
having to start a whole new track.

This would also be great for multi-day tracks, where I don't want to just 
"pause" the track overnight.  Pausing the track only holds if the phone 
actually stays on; resuming a stopped track would allow one to continue 
recording to a track even if battery dies, etc.

Thanks for the feedback. There are hardware/storage limitations for a really 
long track. This is something we will keep in mind.
