speed disapears after 350 km/h #1548

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.start a recording
2.organize speed to increase up to 350 km/h
3.speed disapears

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is to display same speed than gps applet
speed is blank

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone?
last release 18-062-014
android 4.0.4
xperia st18i

Did you speed disappear on the chart view or on the stats view, or both?

Real time Speed disappears on the stats tab.
On the graph tab, was at ZeRo.

Sounds like the gps on your phone stops reporting speed, thus the stats view 
has an unknown value and the chart view is zero.
We display the speed as reported from the phone's gps.

Nope, while in the plane and recording with mytrack, i used also GPS Toolbox 
who was reporting the right speed. Is mytrack using google location api, or 
does it deal directly with GPS ?

My Tracks is using the Fused Location Provider in Google Play Services. We just 
report the speed we get from the location provider. The other app might be 
getting the gps directly from the LocationManager.

Ok, then i will try next week with the new release of My Tracks & GooglePlay 
service.
