This needs to get an answer soon. This is a complete make or break for the browser and privacy as a whole. This change is coming ever quicker and if this isnt resolved Iridium will not be usable privacy wise. Even if we need to just wait and use an old version while the WebRequest API is worked on, thats fine, but complete silence is not ok on such a big issue as this.
We are currently investigating the idea of bundling uBlock Origin with Iridium Browser and make this an option to download it included in the distribution
I am not sure if you are aware of it but apparently Chromium's new Manifest V3 will break privacy enhancing extensions that use certain APIs such as webRequest. Currently both Opera and Brave are planning on keeping compatibility with the existing APIs that addons like uBlock Origin, NanoAdblock, uMatrix, and Tampermonkey/Violentmonkey and I was wondering if Iridium was planning on doing the same.
