Add first draft of materials for histogramming session #5

Description

Have @anapeixotohep add a first draft of the materials to be taught at the 2024 US ATLAS / IRIS-HEP Analysis Software Training Event by Monday, 15 July 2024 in a pull request to this repo.

Scope

The target audience at the training event will be US ATLAS Ph.D. students.

The goal is to use the UChicago Coffea-casa deployment as the students will be US ATLAS members and this would be the best choice to support their credentials while also having access to Coffea-casa. If there are software or data requirements that will be needed in advance please coordinate with the UChicago SSL team and Oksana Shadura (@oshadura).

At which level do expect the participants to be? PhD students/postdocs or will we also have some undergraduate students?

I think that everyone will be a Ph.D. student or postdoc, but even if I'm wrong on that we should still target "new Ph.D. student to ATLAS" as the target level that we're aiming for.

I suspect that we are using Jupyter notebooks for this learning workshop but can you confirm?

Yes. Also please make sure that you have access to the UChicago Coffea-casa deployment.

Is there a specific tool that is expected to be used or would Python with matplotlib will be enough? I am not sure if ROOT applies for this learning workshop but I am also comfortable with that.

We'll focus on hist and using matplotlib here. I would recommend just taking the reference material from the US CMS / IRIS-HEP training material and revising it with your own views and changing CMS specific things to ATLAS.
