Can't update from 1.3.2 or install 2.1.2 #9

With Firefox 77.0.1, I made three attempts to update from 1.3.2

The first, in normal mode with 625 tabs but only around four loaded, seemed to bring the operating system to its knees. Eventually Firefox was killed:

swp_pager_getswapspace(29): failed
swp_pager_getswapspace(31): failed
swp_pager_getswapspace(19): failed
swp_pager_getswapspace(29): failed
swap_pager: out of swap space
swp_pager_getswapspace(30): failed
pid 77485 (firefox), jid 0, uid 1002, was killed: out of swap space
pid 77407 (firefox), jid 0, uid 1002, was killed: out of swap space

Maybe coincidence; I had updated five other extensions (nothing unusual) prior to the attempt to update Canonical URL Detector.

Second and third attempts, in safe mode, failed.

I removed 1.3.2 then attempted to install 2.1.2:

Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt.

There is no problem with the diagnosis, so I don't know why the problem occurs. I can't help it, so I rolled it back to 1.3.2.
