any open open source group channels? #681

Hi,

I tried to signup via https://ironfunctions.slack.com/signup but since I don't have a samsung or iron account I wasn't allowed in. Is this an open source project or something else? If we're open source why not use an open forum platform like IRC?

John! It should definitely be an open Slack channel and I'm trying to figure out how to make it open as we speak :)
