LGTM man, but thought there'd be more deletions? Is there some unused code for proxy as a result of these changes?

There will be, but for now the proxy service still exists and is running, it's just not called with tok open. I wanted to run that for a release and then remove proxy all together next release, once users have had an opportunity to get used to it
