hi! my xiaomi gamepad work fine with all android phone or pc emu game before. and the only problem is gamepad stop working after few min playing Nier automata via steam on pc the led still bright but gamepad no respond. like hang up. i have to remove device and reconnect again after few min hang again. i guess your driver does not compatiblity with steam yet. my system: win 10 pls fix it . thank you

Have you tried replacing the batteries with new ones?

lucky0511 commented 7 years ago

i just double check, try with some other game, still trouble, game force close or gamepad auto turn off after few click. maybe your driver not stable with window 10 yet (build 15063)

I can confirm this. I have a similar problem. And I am sure it started acting up only after I updated my Windows 10. I am currently on Build 1703. Something in the previous updates broke the way your software works. For me the problem manifests like this: I am able to connect the controller successfully through mi.exe. I start my game through Steam (Borderlands 2) and proceed through the in-game menus and start playing. All this while the controller works perfectly. The second I press RT to shoot, the controller just turns off.

I have the same issue, well, kind off. After a few minutes playing LEGO StarWars with two gamepads, mi.exe exits silently and last used controls stuck. Not a power issue - good and charged NiMh used. I have played Hotline Miami with one gamepad without an issue. I also suspect a Windows update. This issue has been detected in the middle of last month, just after system update and reboot. Before that, everything works as it should. Windows 8.1, Windows Update enabled. Do mi.exe has any debug output options?

I had exactly the same issue but i think i found a workaround for this problem

I tried the followings:

  1. First copy "Xiaomi_gamepad_to_X360" folder to another place rather than your system drive or Desktop

  2. Second, Set compatibility mode for mi.exe to "windows 7
    • Right-click on "mi.exe" > Select Properties
    • Go to Compatibility tab and in "Compatibility mode" section select "Windows 7"
    • Select "Run this program as an administrator" at bottom of page as well
    • Apply settings

Test it to see if it crashes
