Simplified/generic service mesh architecture (according to Linkerd... the first service mesh).

• control plane - coordinates the behavior of the proxies, provides an api for the operator to manage and measure the whole mesh
• dataplane - comprised of userspace proxies that sit next to services. Dataplane intercepts calls between services and "does stuff"
• proxy - Layer 7-aware TCP proxy, just like haproxy and NGINX
