Backlight won't stay on

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set backlight to always on
2. wait a while a minute (or the default timeout you have set)
3. out goes the backlight...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Community MAEMO and latest 0.0.9 deb

Please provide any additional information below.
I've hoped for an N900 port for a long time, and I was really glad to discover 
this today! My Android died and I had to go back to my N900, but now the future 
doesn't seem too bad any more :-)

Is there a mailing list to join? I could not find one.

Hi, 

I tried reproducing it on my N900 but it works OK here.
1) Can you please post the output of `grep BackLight 
/home/user/MyDocs/.waze/data/user.ini`
2) Can you please run waze from terminal (/opt/waze/bin/waze), let it run for a 
3 minutes and exit (without touching the screen or do anything that might reset 
the screensaver timer), and post the terminal output?
3) Have you installed any custom lockscreen?

Aha! the trick is to change the setting and then restart the app. the new 
setting doesn't seem to kick in until the next run. I've seen the same happen 
with other settings too.
