I just received github's Arctic Code Vault Contributor badge today. I dont think I have contributed anything to it, I think its a bug.

Just in case if anyone else has been wondering why the badge appeared on their profile.

Update about the badge from Github support: "Previously if a user's only Arctic Code Vault badge eligible contributions were to a repository that is opted out of the program, we would not display the badge for the user. However, we have recently changed that, and we now display the badge on a user profile even if the repository has opted out (but without specifying the repository). That's why you suddenly see the badge!"
