I believe in past meetings we've said there's a 100k limit on number of points visualized on the globe. We need to make the user aware of this somehow. Right now, when completing a search with more than 100k results and then trying to visualize points, nothing happens, which makes it seem like something is broken. If keeping the 100k limit, we need to have some sort of notice pop up telling the user that we've exceeded what can be viewed.
Same thing for when scrolling out from a close up view (e.g. Moorea) to a broader view (e.g. a hemisphere) -- eventually points just disappear rather than populating, making it seem broken.
