Wonderful little library! Thanks a lot for publishing this. It would be great to have it on PyPI.

Thanks for your interest! Great to hear you find it useful. I will look into this, though I currently don't have time to do the required cleanup and packaging work.

As an aside, I just pushed some more useful features, mainly connected component analysis in RLE and padding.
