Describe, query, update etc all call on field which does not exist #73

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. describe, table query, will add column for field that does not exist
2. running query or update, delete, etc will produce error exception code 5077
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expect to see custom field coverage_role__c text field, instead see Role__c 
field
Role__c field does not exist, never existed for this object.
Even if i take the cell away from the table, any update action will run into 
same error, as shown in attached picture,

What version of the product are you using? 1603
On what operating system?  windows 7 prof
With what Salesforce.com edition? enterprise SFDC

Please provide any additional information below.

this seems to have resolved on restart
