This addon is currently available but inactive in our 4.3 build.

What is the purpose of this addon? Are we currently making use of its functionality it any way? If not, what is the potential impact to removing it from our build and/or keeping it out of our Plone 5.1 build?

plone.formwidget.geolocation is only used by the conditionally enabled behavior described here, and it can safely be removed once we disable that behavior. There are some JS/CSS registrations/customizations related to this widget that should be removed once we are on Plone 5.1.
