Noob I'm hacked help me #2250

Bad news: Ive been hacked by someone that is a big pos and trying to ruin my technological lively hood

Good news: I'm determined to find out how and I'm enjoying the learning experience but it is definitely a lot. Mentor please.

So as a no nothing noob, I noticed certain things that were pointing out I was being hacked so as any noob would do I called apple and my service provider over and over for hours and the typical responses were "reset your password, turn your phone off and back on blah" as I didn't get anywhere and the hacking got worse and worse, tried switching carriers, switching devices, hard reset and I even got an iPad on a different carrier plan and they still get into it! By process of elimination I'm coming to the conclusion that they are accessing my root directory and modifying things on the developer side. I caught a glimpse of them temporarily on the find my iPhone app as "data" and "Moto" two different numbers but no actual device or location. Any ideas? I really appreciate any of your help in advance, not trying to close on a negative note, but I'm dealing with a rough patch in my life with Father passing away in a car accident, my only brother being consumed by addiction, Mother had a stroke, im doing my best to keep it together for myself and them, as my iPhone is a crucial part of my business and I'm starting to drown. I understand the haha of hacking at a certain level but this hacking is blatantly just evil at this point. Please help any piece of advice no matter how small will be much appreciated and will come back to you 10 times over with Good Karma Thank You.

I just joined GitHub and will continue to research and study.

Hi! I would generally recommend getting in touch with Apple, but as you've already done that, I'll list some things I would check in a case like this:

If you're seeing unusual devices in Find My, it sounds like your Apple ID might be compromised? You should be able to find these devices under System Settings -> \<your name> (button at the top which takes you to your Apple ID settings) too. You can remove them from there (and you should if they are not yours), but you should indeed also change your Apple ID password under System Settings -> \<your name> -> Sign-In & Security -> Change Password if so.

"Accessing my root directory and modifying things on the developer side" sounds a bit implausible to me. There is something called Lockdown Mode which might be relevant to you, it's under System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Lockdown Mode - you can learn more on Apple's website. It might also be worth looking for strange device configuration profiles under System Settings -> General -> VPN & Device Management.

It could also be possible that the email you're using with your Apple ID is compromised, and that attackers are using that to gain access to it or other services, perhaps that is something worth looking into as well.

It would probably be useful information to know what it is you're seeing, other than the devices, which are signs of you being hacked, if this is something you're willing/able to share?

Really hope things will start to look up for you 🫂
