Have not been able to update for a while. Seems like it can't find folder/files. Today can't get apt to do anything as "apt: not found". Have reported previously via Slack with no response.image

Hi! iSH does not use apt, as it runs Alpine. As the MOTD mentions, you can manage packages with apk. Also, I am not aware of an iSH Slack channel/server, so if you've come across one on there chances are it is unofficial!

Martin:

I am a relative noob here so I won’t pretend to know how all this operates just that I find that iSH would be a valuable addition to my iPad. All I can say is that when I got iSH through TestFlight, it comes with some link or other to Slack / Apple for crash reporting, etc. If this is “Unofficial” I will use GitHub to report any issues I find there. Apologies for bugging you. I am an old geezer and am trying to learn both iSH on iOS and Termux on Android… I may sometimes get confused (it is my middle name :-)). I will try to recall IRC (it has been 25 odd years since using it) for more informal chats / questions.

Regards L

Since this is Alpine linux you need apk. Apk update, then apk add .

Please put this in proper folder as I am new to this Linux. Thanx Updates/upgrades have conflicts (?):

You can install packages with: apk add

You may change this message by editing /etc/motd.
