Marking Attendance #36

Tutors can mark student attendance, either manually within the portal, or by asking students to scan the QR code at the door. If using the App version, Tutors can be reminded to mark attendance via push notifications.

This is existing functionality that works well and just needs to be ported to the new platform, but we can think about QR code and self-signin options.

One of the bits of feedback from tutors is the class roll is not in A-Z order like it is on the paper. This would be good to also have.

Hi James/Ari - another common issue for the portal is if a tutor takes over a class from another tutor, the first tutor can still see the class roll for dates they are no longer teaching. Would it be possible to hide the sessions they are no longer teaching (marked by the tickbox in Classes through OC)?

You should remove them from the session rather than marking them as not attended if you want to hide this.

Hi Ari, can you elaborate on how to remove the tutor from the individual session? I have the tutor no longer teaching set as unticked, there is no option to remove the tutor from the individual sessions themself from what I see.
