First of all, nice job, I'm impressed ! I and a few friends have been considering kmsvnc for remote control on some gaming linux distros. But kmsvnc hits some limits in the way these retrogaming distros work:
they all come with a frontend written in OpenGL (and mmostly SDL2)
games use SDL2
Usually, going from tty <-> games frontend <-> game/emulator, the video is always lost on the <->. I suspect this happens because famebuffers are destroyed and new ones are created, which kmsvnc probably misses.
And, for that pleasure of remotely playing, I couldn't reach 60fps despite forcing it on the command line.
