I would give myself a B for this project.

First of all, for someone that doesn't like coding, being able to understand and work in the HTML/CSS and use it to adjust layouts, fonts, colours etc. is a great accomplishment. I also have worked hard to ensure that I follow the guidelines set by Markbot and the sorts of things we learned in class for CSS grid and proper tags. I also really spent a long time working with the accessibility/performance/browser tests to see if things were working. I made sure every image was exported and sized properly, and tried new ways of resizing by hiding overflows.

However, I would say that I am not the strongest coder; and my goal as a designer is not to work with web. I worked over the last few weeks with my tutor to help me figure out how to do more complicated things, like overlapping layouts. Therefore, I cannot give myself an A+. I see room for improvement in my alt tag usage, and in some of my image behaviours on mobile.

For the effort I have put in this term, which culminated in this project, I think a B is a reasonable grade.

Hi @iska0013,

I've updated your grade on progress.learn-the-web.algonquindesign.ca and I think you did a terrific job of implementing what you learned this semester. There were areas of improvement as most students did experience (semantics and responsiveness) but overall I see the hard work applied and feel you deserve higher than you predicted for yourself.

Have a lovely holiday and good luck next semester! Wendy
