When to mark timestamp

When do we want the event to log time? When the first action is selected or the last one?

For example: In an ordinary flow, a manager first select the player, then select an action, then select a position on the court. Do we want the time stamp of this event to be counted as when the manager selects the player or when the manager selects the position on the court. (this is only a significant issue if there is a long time in between these three actions).

My personal opinion would be from the first selection because this is probably closest to the actual time that the event occurred.
