For consideration at the 41st ISO/TC 211 plenary meeting in Sydney 2015-12-10/11, regarding possible adoption as an ISO/TC 211 Technical Report

If ISO/TC 211 decides they want to adopt this Technical Report, a resolution to create a work item to do a ‘fast-track’ development will be taken at the plenary. This would be to adopt the document as it is with no changes. Note that by setting up the ISO work item, it will not have the same number as the CEN document. If changes are proposed, ISO/TC 211 will need to do a comment resolution as normal, and it would no longer be considered an adoption of the EN TR’s.

Scope

This part of the Technical Report provides guidance for validation and testing of data, metadata and services, as the main Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) components defined in other parts of the CEN/TR 15449. The guidance is given by means of examples of the validation and testing process required to ensure conformance with the requirements existing in the relevant standards and guidelines. The National validation and testing context is out of scope of this report.
