Custom DNS servers #469

Would be nice to get ability to set custom DNS-servers in settings for in-app usage in iOS/MacOS client.

Could you please add use case?

mailer21 commented 2 years ago

When I am connected to vpn which don't send me local dns config I can't use webSSH configured by names. iOS don't allow to set custom dns. So some apps allows to set custom dns servers in its own config.

What kind of VPN do you use? In almost every VPN solution like wireguard, openvpn, ipsec, … you can set a custom DNS server in your vpn profile no matter of the vpn server‘s push.

I'm reopening this issue as some users want to use custom DNS servers instead if using provided ones by the operating system or DHCP.
