White background does not contrast well with text selection #931

Bug description

This tool is excellent in many aspects but it fails in contrasting a white background and text selection.

When the background color is white and the user tries to select a text in the terminal session, the selected text does not highlight. Consequently, the user cannot see what is being selected.
