All zero logins #35

Closed mthoodlum closed 2 years ago

Occasionally MikroTik RouterOS devices set their login variables to 00:00:00:00:00:00 and then they appear in the Unknown Hosts. If an admin adds the host then other routers that do the same will have their hostnames overwritten. Removing the host from ISPApp and re-running the config script on the affected devices will restore the hostnames.

You are wrong.

The host names or hostnames are not modified.

The unknown hosts have a new entry created. It can still be fixed.

andrewhodel commented 2 years ago

Why would you say rerunning the scripts.

You should never do that. It will automatically try again and the unknown hosts entry will expire.

Stop putting never expire into your understanding without real sentence conjugation.

Routers never have their hostnames overwritten.

Only unknown hosts accept the hostname sent in the config request, not the added hosts.

Stop reading a story instead of understanding what is happening.
