Regions on map do not keep the selection #32

The regions in the various maps do not keep the selection. This makes it challenging to de-select them.

Reproduce:

  1. hover a region with the mouse (e.g., Sicily). The region changes color to red;
  2. click on it;
  3. the filter gets populated;
  4. in order to clear the filter it is necessary to click again on top of the very same region.
