Naicriz commented 1 year ago

Sonoma latest version CrossOver 22.1.1 Game Porting ToolKit 1.0.2 CXPatcher 0.2.17 GStreamer

Tried cleans installs of crossover and cxpatcher. Installed steam from crossover, from a downloaded exe. The Witcher 3/SkyrimSE from steam, from crossover, etc... All has been reinstalled at least 10 times (including downloading again all the games). Gstreamer installed on homebrew, and pkg installer. (Non of those make the difference) Also i've tried installing the witcher 3 and skyrim on different bottles. restoring bottles, cleaning, etc...

God knows how many times i've tried hahaha, the problems are the following;

Skyrim SE 64bits;

The Witcher 3;

EDIT:

I can test the witcher 3 and see what's going on, on the other hand can't test Skyrim, have you tried to patch a copy of crossover without enabling the gptk installation?

@italomandara No, I have not tried without gptk patch. or maybe i did, because i was able to play the witcher 3 for a period of time without problems but after a hour or so it freezes as it happen before. I'll try it without the gptk patch.

Edit | Update: I've updated the main post with more info.

If you're launching through Steam, the Skyrim launcher is deprecated. You need to open the actual Skyrim exe (or SKSE64 exe if you're modding) directly. It should run just fine without the launcher, but you might need to manually set some preferences, like your display resolution, that are normally configured by the launcher.

However, you shouldn't need this patch to run Skyrim SE. It will run just fine with Crossover itself, as well as with alternatives like Wineskin and the GPTK CLI.

Also, I've found that not all games work with DXVK enabled. For example I can run Skyrim SE without it, but my modded executable won't run if DXVK is off. You could try flipping that switch in crossover and running both games again.

Can you try with gptk 1.0.3 by repatching your crossover app?
