tried "reinstall" and uninstall -> install, but both failed. opened files manually and i managed to launch hornets.html without any problems. this is a twine game fwiw

Ah, I see - the problem is that it's an additional upload for a web game, tagged as supporting windows/linux/mac - so, the app downloads it, and then tries to launch it as a native app - since it can't find any actual windows/linux/mac executables, it fails.

That can be easily solved with an app manifest: https://itch.io/docs/itch/integrating/manifest.html
